The Global Cultural Networks and its partner Shenzhen-Qianhai MAH Global Cultural Consulting firm are to promote cultural dialogues and exchanges among various continents and in particular among the global community and China. Organization of major conferences and fora as well as exhibitions and exchange of artists and scholars are among the highlights of activities undertaken by these entities. Topics related to creativities and designs as well as environmental issues are part of their on-going activities underlining the topics related to “smart Cities of Future”. This is with the hope to devise policy strategies and initiatives responding to the artistic, cultural, social and physical fabric in urban environment in order to bolster the development of the local economy.

Ms. Meri Madashhi served as a senior economic officer at the United Nations Secretariat in New York for 26 years (1977-2003), and was also appointed as a Member of the Special Group on the Decentralization Program of the Secretary-General of the United Nations and a Senior Adviser to the Executive Secretary of the UN Reform Working Group. From 1996-2009, she served on the board of the African Leadership Foundation.

梅里·马达沙希女士在纽约联合国秘书处任高级经济官员长达26年(1977-2003),并同时被委任为联合国秘书长分权方案特别小组成员、联合国改革工作组执行秘书高级顾问。1996-2009年期间,她担任非洲领袖基金会董事。

In 2003, in Paris, she served as an international correspondent for “Maxims” News, and the United Nations Diplomatic, covering a wide range of international, political and environmental issues. In 2004, she was elected as a Member of the Supervisory Board of the UN Staff Bank (AMFIE) in Luxembourg.

She is founder of the “Melody for Dialogue among Civilizations” Association, with branches in France, Switzerland, Hong Kong and the United States. This Association has produced many multi-cultural mega-concerts using music as catalyst for advocacy and awareness for environmental, social and economic issues and peace.

同时,她也当选了位于卢森堡的存款互助会——“国际政府官员欧洲合作联盟”的监事会成员。她也是音乐与文明间对话协会创始人,协会在法国、瑞士、香港和美国均有分会。协会以音乐作为媒介呼吁人们关注和平,以及环境,社会和经济议题,并举办了诸多跨文化超大型音乐会。

She organized highly acclaimed multi-cultural concerts in Guangzhou (2010-opening of the 16th Asian Games), Hangzhou (2012 – Water concert with Tan Dun) and Shenzhen (2012 – opening the festivities of the creative and design city), World Water Day at UNESCO in 2013 and “A Salute to Heritage” in Nanjing (September 2014). In 2015 the Shenzhen-Qianhai MAH Cultural Exchange Company was established to advise on educational and  academic issues and undertake research on environmental and technological innovations.  She serves as its President.

她曾多次组织多元文化音乐会,都颇受好评。如作为2010年广州亚运会开幕式组成部分的一系列多元文化音乐会;2012年与谭盾联袂在杭州举办了水主题音乐会;2012年在深圳举办多场音乐会作为创意城市设计一系列庆祝活动的开幕环节;2013年在联合国教科文组(UNESCO)举办了世界水日音乐会;2014年在南京举办了“向遗产致敬”主题音乐会。她于2015年创办深圳前海MAH文化交流公司,亲自担任公司总裁,致力于教育和学术议题咨询,并进行一系列有关环境和科技创新等方面的研究。

She has been speaker at international conferences, such as the World Culture Forum, the Forum on Arts and the City and the Creative Cities Network Summit, Guiyang Eco Forum, IPP/South China University Annual Meetings and ICCSD of UNESCO in Beijing.  

她曾出席多个国际会议并发表演讲,如世界文化论坛、艺术与城市论坛、以及创意城市网络峰会、贵阳生态论坛、华南理工大学国际警策研究院年会、联合国教科文组织在北京的国际创意与可持续发展中心(ICCSD)等。

In 2006, she received UNESCO’s 60th Anniversary medal, in 2007 the Marrakesh Environment Award, an award certificate from the City of Guangzhou for her contribution to the Asian Games 2010 and a letter of appreciation from the City of Shenzhen. Jointly with former President Olusegun Obasanjo of Nigeria, she was awarded in October 2012 the Aspen Cultural Diplomacy Award.

She served as an International Cultural Advisor both to the City of Shenzhen and the City of Nanjing in China. She also acts as an International Consultant to the Tang West and appointed as the Honorary and Visiting Professor to 3 Universities in Guangzhou: of the Institute for Public Policy, South China University for Technology, Guangzhou, Jinan University and Guangdong University for Foreign Studies. Since April 2015, Ms Madarshahi serves as Vice-Chairman of the Asia-Pacific Exchange and Cooperation Foundation in Beijing.

Hans d’Orville, a German national born in 1949, is Assistant Director-General for Strategic Planning at UNESCO. He is responsible for global strategic planning and policy development, establishment of biennial programme and budget documents, results-based budgeting, risk management, extrabudgetary resource mobilization and partnerships. As a member of the senior management team, he also represents the Director-General in various UN system coordination bodies. 2011, he was elected as the Chair of the Advisory Group at the Assistant Director-Generals level of the UN Development Group (UNDG) and subsequently served throughout 2012 until February 2013 as Vice-Chair of UNDG. He established and directed successful public-private partnership programmes benefitting also the Creative Cities Network and activities focusing on culture and development.

Mr. d’Orville is a member-co-founder of the Africa Leadership Forum and served on its Executive Committee (1988-2007). He also served as senior advisor to various bodies, including the annual Eco-Forum Global in Guiyang and its Foundation (since 2009). He is a member of the International Advisory Council of the Global Initiative for Arts, Culture and Society of the Aspen Institute. He holds a PhD and MA in economics from the University of Konstanz, Germany.

Eric Dubosc

Eric Dubosc is an architect who graduated from the Institute National des Beaux Arts in Paris. He is also an Honorary Fellow of American Institute of Architects and member of HFABCEM (Brazil). He started his career working on public and planned communities’ projects. Since 1974, he has developed eco-friendly architecture practices that he applied to several sustainable construction projects in France and China. In 1985, he founded his architecture practice Dubosc & Associés, which has now several branches in Paris, Shanghai, Doha and Hanoi. His firm, which favors a pluri-disciplinary approach, won several Architecture awards, such as the “First European Prize for Architecture of the ECCS – Venice’’ in 2001, and the Prize for Urban Design Awarded by the Association for the Promotion of Urban Design – Robert Auzelle Seminar – Paris in 2002. He is a pioneer in the fields of steel and eco-friendly construction and a main architecture consultant to the French government. He is also an expert of the World Bank in China regarding energy savings.

After obtaining his Bachelor of Science from the Stern School of Business In NY, with a double major in International Business and Information Systems, he began his search or best use of technology to leverage economic development and to increase businesses efficiencies. At the beginning, he worked for three years focusing on strategic technology consulting. Then in partnership with a colleague he started a public-private partnership in Ghana with the objective of helping the Ghanaian governmen tto better manage the available electricity grid in the country and to spread the use of, and access to Internet facilities. After some three years he returned to university and obtained a Master degree in International Relations at New York University. His main area of concentration and his thesis was on the continental and geopolitical implications of of the Chinese engagement with Africa. He expanded his consulting business and became an expet in technology audits for larger academic institutions and private sector companies. In 2011, created a company on high -end wine which is operating in New York and Los Angeles. The companies, DomaiNYC and LA Domaine, collect blue chip wines through futures, auctions and private collections . Despite his full engagements with private sector, he has cntinued his intellectual works and persued alos his second career in the global strategic consulting realm.

He began his first assignement as the Architect, Designer at the Beijing Oriental Elite Programming and Designing Company where he worked between 200-2004 and from 2007-2008 he continued with Architectes Dubosc and Landowski. He was rewarded the first priz in a competition « Made of Steel » in 2006 and continued working as the Director of Design in GPT+Design.

Eva Du

Advisor/Registered Architect

After obtaining her Master of Architecture from the School of Architecture at Tsinghua University in Beijing, she continued her research and practice with Prof. Zhang Li in Tsinghua University. At the beginning, she worked for three years in Teamminus architectural institute, focusing on concept planning and public architecture conceptual design. Together with the team, she devoted herself into the post-disaster reconstruction project in Beichuan 2008, and Yushu 2011, made researches and proposals on China Pavilion Expo 2010, sustainable use of Expo facilities, cultural architecture design and public city space, and other complex projects.

After then she joined World Architecture Magazine Publications, as an editor and deputy director in operations department. During the next three years, she published the issue “Up the Mountains, Down the Villages” as executive editor, focusing on buildings in rural areas, particularly in Chinese rural areas. She has collected a dozen of projects, to provide back up reasons why the rural is the key to the maintenance of cultural diversity and the laboratory of studying sustainable solutions for human habits. In addition to this, she also devoted herself into global architectural events, such as Venice Biennale 2014, World Architecture Festival 2014, Milan Expo 2015. She interviewed with world-renowned architects, such as Shigeru Ban the laureate of the Pritzker Architecture Prize 2014, Prof. Von Gerkan president of GMP, Zaha Hadid, Ma Yansong, etc., she also programmed and organized academic conferences, forum, dialogues, design competitions, academic tours, under the cooperation of WA team.

In 2015, she founded an organization on creative cultural communication, which is operating in an industrial heritage space in Beijing. She has continued her intellectual works in the global cultural communications.

Yan Liu

Yan Liu obtained her PHD in Urbanism from UPE in France. She is a national of China and works as an Advisor to MAH Global Cultural Networks.

Kelly Wang is chief editor and publisher of several magazines, internationally renowned producer of cross-media projects, and an art collector. Graduated from Victoria University,

In 2010, she was nominated as the Outstanding Young President by foreign media. During the Shanghai Expo, she accompanied Prime Minister of New Zealand John Key projects of cultural and economic exchanges and co-operations between the two countries. In 2013, she established “Kelly Studio” in Shanghai and started to serve as the executive chairman of LIAN Cultural Development Co., Ltd. In 2014, Kelly Wang was a chief producer of several contemporary art exhibitions in various international art museums. She founded “Wander”Mook — the most interesting lifestyle guide for elites; the magazine has been widely recognized and appreciated. She also started a steam punk metcha puppet show “PAPA’s Time Machine” as the executive producer. In 2015, Kelly Wang sponsored several art projects in international art projects and organizations such as Venice Biennale. In 2015, Kelly Wang sponsored several art projects in international art festivals and organizations including Xu Bing’s Phoenix at the Venice Biennale and “Art in the City”She established LIAN Contemporary Art Space in Shanghai, with an international residency program.
